Hi Gerry,
Presently I have no position in Solbec but I think the story is great and will take a position sometime after the commencement of Phase I.
What are your views on the following though.
1. There has been only one biotech company in ASX history that has brought a drug to market, Biota's Relenza. Statistically one would have to rate Solbecs chance as close to zero.
2. With the above in mind and with a raft of current biotech stocks with extremely credible management still jumping through hoops to commercialise their products, such as CST and CMQ what chance does the little known Steve Carter have. This of course not to detract from Steves ability, just thinking pragmatically.
3. With the multi-billions spent on cancer drug research just what are the chances a weed holds a compound which is far more effective that the current biggest selling cancer drugs. It just seems too good to be true.
Just thinking out loud here, as I said the story is so bloody tempting based on the SAS patient results, I just can't get over that last hurdle of thinking this just had to be too good to believe.
I'd appreciate your views, I find your posts are well writtern and informative.
By the by, I can't believe the lack of action following the Phase I announcement. I thought this was going to be the start of an inexorable rise.
