I think you are spot on there Skating. Some stocks have a tendancy to break out of an equilateral triangle in one direction and then suddenly reverse. Some also do so out of bearish down-sloping triangles or bullish up-sloping triangles. It pays to know the stock before betting on a triangle break. ERG and VCR are two stocks who over the years have thrown a 'head fake' from time to time (to use a little basketball parlance.)
I also agree with you that BBG is in short-term trouble and I went short @ 7.76 on Tuesday.
