In terms of manipulation and wondering if Appian, BR etc are doing it. Have a look at Appian's last substantial holder notice for AVB (albeit it was a while ago).

They were selling small parcels below market and then buying bigger parcels same day or next. They even sold some at a loss to purachase price to push down the market and then recouped that loss by selling some of their holding at a profit.

We don't need to speculate that at least one of our big holders has historically manipulated the price - they had to put it in writing for everyone to see because of ASX rules!
