A potential situation that I haven't seen mentioned yet (and I hope that I'm wrong).
We don't know when drilling hit Trident but I imagine that it would have been before the Assaka announcement. At around 600m depth for Trident it may take say 10 days to drill.
it is therefore possible that by Sunday Trident TD would have been reached and they will report whether or not they have found HC.
At the time of the trading halt there may have been no HC shows (and the price movement was showing this) but management wanted to protect all shareholders if there were leaks about no HC shows so far, so TPT was halted so the remainder of Trident could be drilled over the trading halt period.
I hope that this is not correct, but it does make sense to me.
