Supposed to be doing tax (overdue!!); however, have taken the 'bait' of defending Aussie Trifle ...
Here we go....
Place layer sliced jam sponge rolls over bottom of glass bowl.
Spoon Sherry Brandy (or Rum) over this.
Layer jelly over...just to cover.
Layer peaches (or fruit of choice) atop set jelly
Layer thick custard
Repeat all above layers
Top with whipped cream/strawberries/kiwi fruit
(I usually match fruits with jellies for presentation!)
(E.g. Maraschino Cherries/Port Wine jelly
Peaches/Orange jelly
Strawberries/red jellies)
I do like your intoxicated fruit though.
