I am a 3rd generation Licenced House Builder with 34 years building and building design experience. We need a proper 3D design software for the Building Industry. A type of software that is easy to use and fast to learn, as simple to use as a Computer game, like “The Simms’ or Minecraft. There is BIM Building Information Modelling but its CAD based so to fully use it, youd need a UNI degree in CAD design to use it at full Tilt.
The NCC Building Code, is designed to be VERY difficult to use and access. But a new 3D design software could have all engineering and Building codes built into the software by Default. So you could type in the Location with Satellite mapping to get exact Lot position, as well as exact Zoning and applicable Building Code default for that zone.
With the 3D design software it would be possible for ten times as many people to be doing Concept plans in 1/10th of the time, so its plausible for there to be 100 times as many Concept plans being done than there is today. The benefit of that is only the best of 100 would be built, compared to the Outdated problems that are being built today that is just going to cause future economic hardship.
The Only solution is a better 3D design program, because it would fix so many things wrong in the Building Industry at the same time. The Cost Ive had estimated by an IT professional at $3 Million to build this software. But the Flow on benefits to the economy and tax revenue for Government would be in the Multi Billions to trillions in the decades ahead. To Build the Future we Must first design it, and to design it we need the most advanced 3D Design Program. So Please Government Action this idea, for just $3 Million outlay this will secure future Billions in Tax revenue. So please action it now.
