Also, do not underestimate the Al demand from enhancements to electricity grids. Those fat cables are all Al and needs tons of the stuff. The demand is global and insistent.
Smelting in India? Not sure about this. India is struggling to power its own population, largely with coal, without adding more baseload.
Al smelting needs cheap clean electricity. Easy to say, hard to find.
