Range Resources (RRL) is expected to spud its Murkhiani well which is targeting the Vani 3 prospect in early July. Vani 3 has a best estimate of gross undiscovered oil in place of +115 million barrels (46 million attributable to Range's 40% interest). Drilling is expected to reach its target depth of 3,500 metres within 45-55 days from commencement of drilling. The well is the first of two to be drilled in Georgia by Range and its Joint Venture partners during 2011.
