trivial distraction

I was having a look at Pitkin's website and poking about there.
For those of you who have done that before then my bit of trivia will be nothing new to you.

Of course there is the interesting connection. Pitkin's full name is Pitkin Petroleum Plc which gets abbreviated down to ........hmmmmmmmm ..yes PPP !

Anyway if you go to Pitkin's web page and click on Areas of Interest and then click on Vietnam then you will get a bit of a description about the background to Block 07/03 which is interesting enough.

However what I particularly liked was the two maps provided with the decription. Unfortunately I do not have the technical skill to be able to copy and paste them here so you will have to go and look for yourself if you have not seen them before.

The first map is useful and shows the block within a series of surrounding blocks.
But it was the second map that I was particularly taken with. I think this one tends to show in a more complete fashion the nature and shape of the prospects that are in that block. Red Emperor for instance is shown as being a complex of at least four main sections.

The map can be enlarge for better viewing. Well worth a look in my opinion before we say goodbye to our PPP's involvement .....lol !
