kippa, i agree and have posted that before, when i joined i had so much pride that i had been accepted, although i was only a low ranked person, i wore my uniform with pride, and getting paid was secondary. I made life long mates who i am still in contact with after so many years. But in saying that service people still need to be paid a reasonable salary as they have bills/mortgages etc the same as everyone.When i put my medals on on Anzac day i still wear them with the same pride as i did when i joined all those years ago.Thanks kippa for you faith and trust in our diggers.
