What to do? That's the question every investor has to ask of an investment routinely but especially on review when circumstances change I guess. I'm asking myself does the thesis for originally investing still stand? If yes, great...stay for the ride. If not and it's detrimental to the financial outcome the decision arguably should be to move on. I'm carrying losses on this but that shouldn't preclude an impartial review & change of investment stance. I routinely battle with anchoring price bias in investing but have learnt it hasn't served me well. I don't have the conviction I had in the stock or the Board/executive post deal. I'm waiting however to see if Anglo Gold exercise their option to buy. I suspect if they did (but I doubt they will?) the RRL share price would rise and I'd unload then. If Anglo let the option lapse, I'll take the loss and sell.
