New shares are issued on Thursday 13th May. Along time to wait. I'm not going to think about if Regis has paid too much for new mine. They probably have by about $120m (one analyst said). But what I have noticed in all this volatility. Those shaking the apple cart, probably really are after a few apples for free that fall off.
I have taken up some of those shares for $2.60. So thanks guys! I'll have an apple or two.
But fundamentally this company in the past has been really well run. Mr Jim Beyer has done a good job as CEO.
When I get my new shares I expect my average to be lower. I calculate my earnings yield on my average of $2.994 (including brokerage) to be 8.95% 2 years from now this earnings yield will increase to 11.85%.
So thanks guys! I'm retired and rely on dividends to pay my way.. Regis will be a long time hold for me and will return a nice dividend stream. I only now have to accumulate as many as I can get to achieve my future return.
