Haven't visited the TRS thread for a little while, thanks for the summary @pCap
Summary of my visit to the local store this morning following:
    - I spent more at TRS than Woolworths next door (*no meat purchased from WOW though!)
    - Aisles and checkouts were busier than I've ever seen them
    - Checkout lass said they'd been smashing their sales targets for the last few weeks, been struggling to keep up staffing the registers
    - When we talked about the merchandise improvement, she said she now spends half her wage each week at the store (probably a mid 20's young lady)
    - Said the Mothers Day stock was drawing customers and selling well
    - Budgets had been high for Mothers Day trade but even smashing them
    - Staff are well aware of their budgets and how they are trading against them - big tick for the business & communication
    - Didn't get a chance to discuss the furniture sales but there wasn't much stock there left on the floor
Note this is a very small sample (one store), but sounds like things are travelling well.
I bid her good day and left her to call another person to the checkout to handle the line of half a dozen customers with their shopping baskets.
It will be interesting to see whether there is a trading update, starting to move into the window for profit guidance etc.
    DYOR
