I think you're right about sp rising before the results, but I'm not so sure about your other comments.
(a) You seem to be implying there's some relationship between the debt size and how likely they are to know what it is. I don't see that size and knowledge are related.
(b) On the access to money ssue you're overlooking the fact they are cashed up and likely to do quite well out of the current downturn if they latch onto soem acquisitions at a cheap price.
I'm no expert but just think there's a bit more to it than you've outlined. I do agree we can expect volatility and for traders that may be nice.
