I just bought in and want the price up too but I think you have misunderstood the announcement.

The trial was to look at the effectiveness of the treatment ON TOP of maximal care. The issue is not that other care is confounding the results or as you put it “getting clean data”. The issue is that they chose the sample size based on a 43% reduction in mortality. Because maximal care is now more effective than they initially predicted, their predicted reduction in mortality is likely to be less. With a lower effect, they would need a larger sample size to have a statistically significant result.
