I work in Government (not climate), and can tell you that group think is alive and well. If you want to get promoted, tell the boss what he wants to hear. So the advice to Mr. Bowen (that's the same Mr. Bowen who wanted to kybosh franking credits when he worked for Bill) will be what he wants to hear. I just have a simple question. How have these targets been costed as without safe and reliable and fully costed energy, its an 'announceable' without a reality. I think we need to be producing more gas...simple as that...until hydrogen is stable and affordable.
Don't know how many fans i'll have though (certainly not the greens) but if we don't make gas central, you'll see the poverty gap explode in this country (its already starting btw).
