Of course I acknowledge trans-national awards such as Nobel Prizes & even that recently conferred on Wayne Swan - not that I am enamoured with our current Treasurer.
However, I am stunned that you have cited Nobel Prizes in the context of a discussion about John Howard receving an award from our Queen. Clearly there is absolutely no equivalence between such awards.
As for being mean spirited; the deep rifts in our community caused by Howard that almost undid the efforts of people who work so hard to actively build communities & the deaths of about 100,000 people in Iraq due to an illegal war fought on lies do have a habit of regurgitating on me.
