Shorting only works when holders lend out their shares. You would have to think many of Australia's industry superannuation funds are up to their necks in lending out their Min Res shares. This is strange as many of their super fund members would work at Min Res.
I cannot understand how in an industry super fund the Trustees are fulfilling their legal obligations by allowing its shares to be lent out for the sole purpose of driving down the share price. This needs to be tested in court.
