CE agreed to sell 49% of the Haul Road to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP) in June (but that option was subject to negotiation probably for 6 months before). He has shown his colours in the past by de-risking MINS position on large investments, just good capital management. It does not dilute shareholders position with Cap Raises. Hardly think he is about to change.

MSIP are not outlaying $1 billion plus bucks because it is a second rate investment. To the contrary - does hardly imply there would be a lack of buyers. Prediction of a sudden fire sale on the balance of the infrastructure road is a stretch. The Onslow Project is considered a great low cost IO Project. So commodity prices are off - not a scoop in an industry prone to cyclical characteristics. BHP CFO on record they remain bullish on iron ore.

Everyone has their take on where this might go - personally never been a fan of Lithium but the company has several available options if commodity prices were to weaken further. MIN Management are in business for the long term unlike many small investors who unfortunately experience fear on short term news and price actions.

Would comfortably back Ellison to have considered an age ago all his business options on many fronts well before a handful of small investors overreacting to short term gyrations in the market.

the injection of $1.2 billion in CASH in a few months is hardly petty cash and will be used for improving the Balance Sheet. But then again many small investors would not know these funds were coming and pile on the company when an investment heads south. MIN has experienced similar percentage sell-offs in the past and recovered. Been invested 10 years in MIN. Sunny days will return.
