Note the small print re the impairment. They aren't allowed to take into account any action that they haven't started by Dec 31. That means they can't take into account the restructuring and streamlining of the UK operation which they are now embarking on. That means that the impairment has to be based on unrealistically high costs. That means that you can expect a transformation (of sorts, at least) over the coming year.
