dammit I forgot to mention how many quarters of positive economic growth in a row with Howard and Costello - even steering us through the Asian economic crisis and dotcom bust as though it were nothing. PS the reason Costello never challenged Howard despite all the goading from the press to give it a go was because Costello realized he would not have been as good a prime minister as Howard and would not have had the support. and damn it I also forgot to mention the intervention. No BS tokenism apology that achieved nothing from Alma Fudd I mean Kevin Rudd. No vacuous concepts like the voice. No, Mr Howard acknowledged the problem in its myriad forms and introduced the tough love measures that we needed. who knows how successful the intervention could have been if it hadn't been unwound by Kevin dudd. I mean really what did Kevin achieve? burnt down a few houses with a badly implemented insulation installation scheme. can't think of anything else
