I don't care where Rudd goes, hopefully not Australia, but even if there is a chance Trump becomes President and even if there is a slight chance that Trump will take offence, Rudd needs to be moved on. This is not an equal relationship. Our whole defense strategy is based on our alliance with the USA, we have numerous expats in the USA, and a lot of our trade comes from the US. We need them much more than they need us, and with every country trying to position themself in a way to gain favour with a potential new president, we will not be served well with an ambassador that the president doesn't want to engage with, or has conflict with. One would hope people can work together professionally, but saying a sitting president should be removed isn't professional behaviour.
