years ago I was metal detecting in central Victoria, got a good signal under a native shrub, I decided to transplant it to my garden. Good soil and watering and it went bonkers, soon came the time to prune it and I threw the cuttings into a incinerator and they indeed exploded like throwing kerosene onto a fire! I noticed a dozen years ago the bush in narbelthong Marysville was filthy with the same species, a lot of the Aussie bush is a ticking time bomb!
