Trump is on record saying that exporting countries pay tariffs, first the tariffs was for economic reason then it was about drugs and illegal immigration. Doesn't make sense given that is not an issue with Canada.
Over the weekend Trump finally realised tariffs would hurt Americans, wow that took a while. Has some one finally got through to him that it's not the exporting country that pays the tariff's.Stock market tanking might have been a hint.
I would say Trump may have listen to Justin's speach when he announced retaliatory tariffs, it that speach Justin was up front with Canadians that the tariffs would impact them
