While Australia has had cordial Trade relations with the USA up to January this year, Mr Trumps Jan 15th Trade deal with China has effectively blocked our access to the Chinese markets in areas such as Beef, Wine, Barley, Coal & LNG.
Trump asslickers in Aus are pointing a finger at the CCP instead of laying blame on this Trump/China and in particular its architect Donald Trump.
This deal effectively prevents Aussie farmers from fairly competing on a fair product/price basis and instad leverages China's access to US
domestic markets in lieu of Trump tariffs with our coal & LNG suppliers to follow.

for grain, beef, wine & fish, one has to ask how long the Ag silence will last.
So far our shop prices are holding up OK:
-beef is still , on average , above $20/kg
-Tassie salmon is $29/kg
-bread cereals ...no perceptable change
-milk/milk products...no change
-wine ...downward pressure on price evident...eg: Wolf Blass 2019 labels down from $10 to $7/bottle
The question is how long will these prices last.
Our met & thermal coal pricing has being dropping in price since ( being replaced by US supply as per the Trump deal)
albeit at a delayed rate because of 3 month/6 month forward supply contracts .
It is interesting to note that our seabourne price of Iron Ore has increased recently and IMO, this is because the USA has not gazumped us
via the Trump deal .....the USA not internationally competitive in iron ore supply.
I know that those calling their hip pockets may support lower food prices but as the economics saying goes: "a dropping tide drops all boats"
All IMO only and Trump Ideologues should consult their psychiatrist and/or Lifeline if they find the above post to be personally distressing.

PS: When the Aus Trade & US trade stats are available in two years time ( they always trail be 2 years) we'll wake up and by then "the horse will have bolted". Alternatively, US Democrats' policy in this area offers no respite for Aussie farmers, IMO, so when it comes to Trade, we seriously have to ask whoare our friends and who are our enemies?
