The likely criminal conviction of Trump along with his failed appearance at the Libertarian Convention has potential to create a new political pathway in the US.

Trump's debacle at the convention gave the Libertarians wide visibility.

Unfortunately the concept of Libertarianism has been partially hijacked in recent years by fascists, ultra nationalists and Rand Paul type Communo-Fascists. There are also a lot of bookish libertarians who lack real world practicality.

There is none-the-less a lot to be said for a party that emphasises smallish/better managed bureaucracy, individual responsibility combined with an open but fair & respectful playing fields.

IMO the demise of Trumpist BS creates an open opportunity for someone to lead and foment a practical and common sense based Libertarian movement in the US.
