I'd like to find another case anywhere in which some non violent guy has the book thrown at him for having a gun for 11 days six years ago.

My expectation is that Hunter maybe found guilty but the punishment will be negligible. A big nothing burger ..... just like the FSB sourced allegations.

The punishment for Trump's offences would also be negligible. Unlike Hunter, Trump has done everything humanly possible to turn his likely non-custodial slap on the wrist into jail time.
