If Trump wasn't POTUS at the time, Trump would have faced court with Cohen.

It was political by not indicting Trump, the current timing of Trump's case is based on not indicting a sitting President, and the delays Trump loves to do.

Let Trump have his day in court, and let the Jury decide on the merits of the case.
