No...that has tended to happen in relation to US Ambassadorial posts of late e.g. Kim Beazley and Andrew Peacock. There will always be an Australian Ambassador to the US.
No, I'm referring to the wasteful UN and the career bureaucrats in the multitude of working groups, committees, etc etc all part of a massive junket and vortex of global funding.
Ahh yes, not to mention Helen Clark's and Kevin Rudd's tilts at UN Secretary General role...most who ultimately make the top position, that I recall, have/had socialist political party leanings...interesting coincidence among those left leaners - birds of a feather...?
