Sadly the overuse of the terms bigotry, racist, homophobic [...add your own pet peeve...]phobic results in the impact of that or those terms being diminished. Especially when those that use it, are of the aloof. The lofty ignorant intelligentsia idiot class, usually of the high-falutin' liberal-arts set/genre/clique.

Something we saw with Hillary Clinton's [kopff koff koff] stupid "deplorable" characterisation of all middle Americas.
She possibly lost her race/chase to the White House on that single slipped word, as it was immediately 'worn' with pride. It showcased and encapsulated for so many, Hillary Clinton's true (Machiavellian?) above-it-all mind.
