Actually, that only one of the reasons that he is running again. Two other core reasons that I can think of are:

1) He is a hateful man who seeks revenge and wants the power to inflict pain on anybody who stands upto him. there have been lots of people standing upto him recently and he wants retribution. He needs power to do this. Since being booted out of office he has discovered that he has little if any actual power and he hates it. He seeks power again because he now has more hateful and divisive people in his ear than ever before promising to help him attack anything that he doesn't like. Some of these people are no doubt foreigners.

2) He is a narcissist and needs to be in the limelight. He isn't happy if people aren't talking about him. He desperately wants this because the thought of these people somebody more important or popular just kills him. Lets face it, the only thing he is interested in is his image.
