Sure he got a few concessions from China. Mostly agriculture but China is going to remain the factory of the world for sometime.
And unless Trump can develop policies to bring back more manufacturing to America the concessions he got from China is not going to amount to much.
China is now the manufacturing superpower of the world and they produce ten times as many engineers, technicians and tradesmen as America. Those are the types of jobs that created good incomes in America.
America is the consumer superpower of the world which is why China needs America to buy all of the goods they now produce.
America is also the military super power of the world because they spend an enormous amount of the their budget on defence. But that will change in the long run as China continues to grow more powerful because of their huge manufacturing base.
