No the sad thing is you don't believe any thing negative of Trump, just about every media outlet is reporting this story so plenty out there that see it as a possibility.
I am being open minded, knowing Trump has a big ego I am sure the last thing he would want is to be humiliated by a big election loss. He can avoid that by not running for re-election and continue to claim he was a great president.
Now from what I understand, Trump has yet to get Republican party nomination to be the presidential candidate. So in theory the Republican party could nominate some one other than Trump if they think he can't win.
So it's quite likely that is story is being put out by republicans encourage Trump to drop out of the race and or get the party not to nominate Trump
