It's no coincidence that the guilty have brought this topic about children in cages up now in an attempt to blend keywords into the media noise and hoping that the easily distracted public are already fatigued of stories about mistreated children, child abuse, disappearing children, cages, risk of exploitation and locked up children, by the time the true damning news hits.
This word blending tactic has been used in propaganda media often in the past. The media can't hide factual and damaging future stories which are about to hit, so they soften the impact beforehand by blaming the other side and boring the hell out of the public with similar sounding topics.
Casual listeners who aren't paying full attention then gloss over details of the actual news, thinking is all still related to old (fake, hyped) news. Partial damage avoided.
