    How about this then?

    It was clearly a Republican stunt to get Donald the sympathy vote. Recruit disturbed individual to be the patsy, promise him a fairy tale of protection and eternal notoriety - knowing he was always going to be shot, so he couldn't plead not guilty. Or maybe someone who called the suicide hotline was given an opportunity to go in style! I doubt he would have had the marksmanship skills to get a bullet that close. The guy that actually took the shot (properly trained sniper) was previously concealed in a nearby location and was always going to just clip the ear. He simply walked away when the commotion was over. The head turn was choreographed.
    Questions I bet we will never hear the answer to:

    What was Crook's previous experience with firearms?
    Where did he get the AR-15 from?
