If automation replaces cheap labor, all the more reason to insist on jobs remaining in the USA - there is no huge advantage to exporting jobs to countries with lower wages.

Notably one of the highest costs in these factories is power due to all the automation. You need cheap reliable base load power. Trump will achieve this by pulling out of Paris, while many other places are doubling down on more expensive unreliable power. That is a reason to stay in the USA. Compare with South Australia - who would invest there?

I don't know if he will be successful, but his policies are much more likely to land jobs for his base than the Democrats with their free trade agreements and progressive politics.

All the people who hate Trump are screaming on every media platform, to the point that one would think the entire world is against him. But the people who voted for him are probably thinking that they finally have a politician is is (remarkably) delivering on his election promises.
