I think to say a town or place only subscribes to one political perspective is narrowminded.

If your beliefs line up into one political party, you are not a clear thinker. If all your beliefs are the same as your friends or neighbours, you're not a clear thinker. Your beliefs are socialised, they are taken from other people.

To generalise this across an entire town or city is insane.
