I am pretty sure Trump used the monoclonal antibody before it was approved.

They were approved but funding for Regeneron was suspended.

Dexamethasone, remdesivir, Regeneron: Trump's Covid treatment explained
DexamethasoneThis steroid saves lives by calming the immune system, but it needs to be used at the right time. Give it too early and the drug could make things worse by impairing the body's ability to fight off the virus. This is not a drug you would usually give in the "mild" stage of the disease.
The World Health Organization advises using the steroid in "severe and critical" cases. Mr Trump's blood oxygen levels did dip below 94%, which is one of the National Institutes of Health criteria for "severe illness".
Monoclonal antibody therapyThis is a combination of antibodies, made by the company Regeneron, which mimic our own immune response. The antibodies physically stick to the coronavirus so they can't get inside the body's cells and they make the virus more "visible" to the rest of the immune system.
Regeneron's treatment was developed using cells derived from an aborted foetus, which are used to test the antibodies' ability to neutralise the coronavirus. The Trump administration suspended federal funding in 2019 for future projects using foetal tissue from abortions. The cells used in Regeneron's treatment were from a foetus aborted in the 1970s, so predating that move.
RemdesivirThis antiviral drug was first developed as a treatment for Ebola. It works by confusing the virus as it looks chemically similar to some of the raw materials the virus needs to replicate. This disrupts the virus's ability to make thousands of copies of itself.Clinical trials have shown the drug cuts the duration of symptoms from 15 days down to 11.However, there is no evidence that lives have been saved with remdesivir.Like monoclonal antibodies, remdesivir is likely to have its biggest impact early on in the course of an infection.
President Trump's doctors say the US president is also taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and aspirin. It is not clear if any of these are deliberately for Covid 19.Zinc is a mineral that does have a role in the immune system, but there is no evidence that such supplements improve people's ability to fight the virus.Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin as it is made in the skin in response to sunlight. It also has a role in a healthy immune system, but again there is no evidence that taking supplements helps against Covid 19.Famotidine decreases stomach acid production and is used for people with stomach ulcers or reflux. There are small studies suggesting it may help, but the quality is considered low and researchers have called for more research.Melatonin is a hormone the body makes in the evening and helps us nod off. It is sometimes given as a treatment for insomnia.Aspirin is a pain killer and blood thinner that is used to reduce the risk of blood clots. Unusual blood clotting has been seen in Covid patients and it may also calm inflammation in the body. There are trials of aspirin in Covid, but no evidence it is useful.

It is where countries like Mexico are showing the way by issuing Ivermectin to early stage patients, where it will do most good. How hard is that to understand?

The figures used are over inflated. The data is not specifically from Mexico.
They are selecting data from multiple studies and slipping in what applies to the narrative best.

There were only 18,074 kits with ivermectin as a med distributed in the trial in New Mexico.

In all of Mexico there have been 3,511,882 covid cases with 267,748 deaths.

Yesterday there were 12,511 covid cases with 675 deaths.
2 days ago 14,273 covid cases and 699 deaths.
That's a lot more than the kits given out in just 2 days.

The headlines are dodgey. You can't get the figures claimed when only 18,074 kits were distributed in the trial.
How hard is that to understand?

Both sotrovimab and remdesivir are infusions, not a simple pill like Ivermectin, which is cheap and convenient to take at home.

The approved medical advice is to take panadol or ibuprofen drink plenty of fluids, not alcohol and rest. If symptoms persist then off to hospital you go.
The proper approved treatment will begin in the ambulance or when you get to the hospital of your own accord.
It's not to doctor hop till you find one who will write a ivermectin script up for you or to purchase online and dose yourself.
If it becomes approved then you will likely have the right advice for the right dosage. If it becomes approved.

The patients who are dying are dying because they are elderly, have underlying conditions or a severe case of covid.
They are not dying because they haven't got access to ivermectin.

Is the TGA is waiting for a company make an extensive, expensive application to have the drug approved.

No, the approved medical advice is to take panadol or ibuprofen drink plenty of fluids, not alcohol and rest. If symptoms persist then off to hospital you go.
    It's not difficult to understand.

I wonder how that worked with India and Mexico.

It didn't work to the headlines you are grabbing from false information to promote ivermectin by people who are paranoid about big pharma or Bill Gates or any other amount of conspiracy theories thrown around.

Meanwhile Australians are left isolated at home and untreated

No, the approved medical advice is to take panadol or ibuprofen drink plenty of fluids, not alcohol and rest. If symptoms persist then off to hospital you go.

till it is almost too late for some.

    Almost too late you say?
What are you basing that on?
They should be taking ivermectin instead of the approved medical advice of taking panadol or ibuprofen drink plenty of fluids, not alcohol and rest. If symptoms persist then off to hospital you go.?
