Sharps, If there is a third wave, Australia could be in a weak position if the majority have not been vaccinated or already recovered from a brush with the virus. This is where countries like Sweden could be in a stronger position if they have managed to develop a larger pool of naturally acquired immunity, which has many times the protection of the vaccine induced protection. I know the vaccines had to be developed quickly, and I guess they did a good job getting it out to the vulnerable, but it is a little underdone regarding long term safety IMO. I think the Indian solution could be made available, but what do I know. For the TGA to prevent doctors prescribing off label is a little over the top, considering the success in India.
