As I said before, it's surprisingly common. I know personally at least 5 woman who have been in this situation.

Apparently, something like 15 - 20% of confirmed pregnancies spontaneously abort. Not all are medical emergencies of course. But given there is something like 6 milion pregnacies a year in the US, if only 5% of those pregnancies fail, that is still potentially 30,000 abortions that may be required for good solid medical reasons. In many states of the US, this is no longer legal.

How many dead adult women is acceptable to you to "protect" these non-viable embryos?

Non-viable embryos is a disgusting expression.

Who decides or sets the parameters of viability? Look at the people who have led long meaningful lives after a doctor recommended a termination based on their assessment but the parents decided to give their child a chance at life.

Don't forget to factor in organ harvesting by the termination clinics in that decision too.
