If Trump wants to do a big real estate deal because that country is loosing money then he could buy one of a number of US states. There is more than one bankrupt US state that he could put money into but he wants to buy some other country. What is in Greenland that he wants to buy... rare earth minerals, a strategic position??
He is also after the rare earth minerals in W.A.. There will be no problem there as this government will let him have whatever he wants. If he isnt just given the go ahead to mine W.A. the US will probably just take over the company via the market and use companies registered in Australia to do so.
