we've had Hitler, Nazi and WW2

people who followed Hitler had little to nothing to go on in history. There was no TV, no docos, radio was pretty new.

whilst they were clearly angry and following what we know of as racism in much of it - they were understandably ignorant - because they didn't have an easily accessible history to go by

but, now - we have very clear and easily accessible history - tv, movies, docos, internet, political education - etc etc

And it's really stunning that in places like France, Italy and many other countries in Europe etc - and although smaller - moves to right wing nutters in the UK --------

that people are allowing any movement at all to not just far right groups, but extreme right.

Then ------------- there's Trump.

There is something extremely wrong with people. I can be easily understood that people are uncomfortable with change, change atm is rapid, humans cannot cope with that - in great change, large swathes of people get left behind.

We know that. Governments should know that.

But, there are two things that are surprising -

1. that governments don't seem to think that it's important to bring those huge numbers of lost and left behind people along with the rest of society - that it overlooks them, leaves them in big gaps getting angrier and angrier and more and more lost - amazingly governments see no danger looming there

2. that when along comes some nutter or some ultra right wing party - that people are stupid enough to once again - support that person or party - thinking that they will be the saviour
Ok, the left behinds are dumb, they are uneducated - we get that. But, how dumb does one have to be to be not aware of WW2 and who and what caused it and the end result?

Americans are by and large at the social bottom end - not only stupid, they have no experience of war on their soil from such doings - they have their civil war, but, that's it. But, surely they know a bit about WW2 and what caused it.

No such excuse for Europeans -- why in the name of god any Europeans would think that the far or extreme right will come in and make their lives better is beyond belief

what did they think happened the last time the right got power?? How did it work out for everyone?

It is breath-taking that humans are THIS stupid. History has shown us that humanity is not bright, it's dumb, it's aggressive, it's illogical -----

but, the current goings on in the world - have caused a total review on just how stupid humanity is.

We appear to be hurtling towards the next global war - in FULL light of knowledge in how we came into the last world wars -----

and we are doing almost nothing to prevent it

Governments know there is a huge economy in it.
Damage has to be reconstructed. Arrests are an economy. Homelessness is an economy. Laundering ill gotten gains is an economy. Everything involved with humans.
