how in the name of god they can stand up and be open AND proud of the system where the President picks Supreme Court judges who agree with the President's side of politics -
is unbelievable --------- from the very same people who proudly tell us about the 'separation of powers'
seriously - wtf?
The current era in the US and in France is very interesting for examining the power of the Presidency ---------- and to me --------- it's all bad bad bad.
These presidencies have way way way too much power.
If we compare it to Germany -- what is the name of the German President?
I'll bet that 99% of people have no idea.
Why? -- because they have very little say in things, they are ribbon cutters and they are paid to stand about and look gorgeous - and nothing more.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier is his name btw ------------ and if you mention that name in conversation - the vast bulk of people will say ------- who the hell is Frank wheelbarrow?
This is Frank - he's the one with the handaxe - his mum thinks he's gorgeous and loves seeing what he does for a job.
