you do know that if there is a war that your country is involved with, and you are a member of the military ( or even a simple citizen) then you are at war, where ever you are located. so if USA is at war with Taliban in Afghanistan, and Waltz says he was mobilized / supporting front line from Italy , he and simple usa citizens are ALL at war with Taliban
Republicans are using semantics to try to make Waltz look bad. but in truth he had every right to say he was in the war. ...but forced to admit he could have been more precise as to his location doing his duties for that war.
All generals and enlisted men understand this, and many have stated so.
he wasnt lying. he simply didnt take time to speak out details.
