Not so, may scientific theories are just that "Theory" and are only accepted as true due to lack of an alternative explanation.
There was a time when people thought the earth was flat and the sun revolted around the earth, the scientist that suggest this was not the case where ridiculed. It took scientist a long time to convince the general population they where right.
