Continuing theme of constant seige mentality in the US.
I think it would be fair to say most Australians have no idea of the underlying anxieties in the American population. They just don't have the safety nets we do...social securities, work/life balance, wealth, mateship, sense of humour, education, etc. It's all about "me" there and how do "I" prosper and survive.
It's an uncomfortable cradle to grave existence over there.
