The left's disdain for democracy? It was the RWNJs cheered on by Trump who attached the Capitol building because they didn't like the election outcome. That's real disdain for democracy. Legally prosecuting someone for their crimes is not.

No different to Putin jailing Nevelny? For a start Trump hasn't been jailed. I'd say that's a big difference. He won't be since it's his first conviction and he hasn't committed a violent crime.

It's high time Trump and his associates started paying for his crimes.
