WHO estimates 750 Million worldwide have had or have COVID. 1 Million dead from COVID, thereabouts. What is the fatality rate? Simple division, should be easy to do...most of us have a calculator handy!...Compare to other respiratory seasonal viruses (influenza), which happens every year. Compare societal responses, etc...between the two. Try to remain dispassionate and "scientific" (the latest buzzword those that sit at the "cool" lunch table use as a signifier of membership in the "cool" lunch table group, though few really know what the term means). Then compare that to the posting you wrote. Does it seem just a little over the top? Seems that way to me.
Again, think Sweden....(that is, their rate AFTER they stopped putting infected patients in nursing homes, which was the New York state model, too. This mistake was responsible for a big chunk of the fatalities, one will notice after going through the data by age cohort).
