I think the standard policy is "if he lies and they believe it, everyone else is just a libtard, but if he lies and they dont believe it, he is just doing it to be provocative".
This is a philosophical approach to staying sane under the leadership of a delusional man that you've invested your entire being in, to the point that you have to viglantly defend him against all criticism, day or night, lest you be seen as naive.
It's not far removed from his own amazing ability to twist everything into praise for himself. Like declaring the roaring stock market prior to his term as anticipation of his greatness, and it's floundering after his commencement as "Biden's fault".
Whatever the situation, MAGA can find a way to reframe it as proof that they aren't all being conned, just like their boss can find a way to reframe it as not his fault.
