Some of what you say regarding the macro factors is true, but unrelated to FMG. The exporting part of Australia's economy is indeed a one trick pony, if you exclude the sale of our land, citizenship and increasingly-worthless degrees to overseas students.
That's why I like to own a share of the pony's one trick - iron ore.
